Microsoft has introduced a new service designed to help companies establish remote work of employees.
According to the company, Microsoft Viva is the first platform for “professional development and emotional well-being” of employees, which contains tools for ensuring engagement and learning, as well as opportunities for sharing knowledge on the job.
Microsoft Viva is integrated with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. According to the developers, the platform brings together tools to create an effective work environment in four dimensions: engagement, emotional well-being, learning and knowledge sharing.
The platform includes several modules. Viva Connections is a digital workplace that allows employees to communicate and access company resources as well as corporate communities. Initially, the module will be available as a custom app in Microsoft Teams. The Connections app for PC will appear for preliminary public testing in the first half of 2021, and the mobile app by the end of 2021.
Viva Insights helps employees plan their time by scheduling time for work that requires concentration, learning and taking breaks to reduce the risk of burnout. Customers will also be able to use data from third-party services such as Zoom, Workday and SAP SuccessFactors.
Viva Learning brings together all the learning resources available to the company in one place, including content from Microsoft Learn, courses from third-party providers including Skillsoft, Coursera, Pluralsight, and edX, and the organization’s own content library.
Viva Topics is a tool that allows you to find the information you need and connect with experts throughout the company. The solution uses artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically organize corporate content into categories such as projects, products, processes, and customers.
Viva Topics automatically generates theme cards when employees work in apps like Microsoft 365 and Teams. Cards combine information about documents, videos, and topic-related experts. It also provides the ability to integrate information from various third-party services such as ServiceNow and Salesforce.
