Microsoft is playing a Flight Simulator style PC that won’t run it at max settings

Representatives of Microsoft decided to conduct a very interesting PR campaign, during which the giant of the digital market will play among its fans a productive gaming PC in a custom case, made in the design of an aircraft turbine with the Flight Simulator logo on the back. This case looks really quite unusual (however, there are only renders, not real images of a computer) and, of course, it is much more voluminous than ordinary cases, so a branded PC will take up a lot of space on the table or under it. But, unfortunately, such a unique computer from the largest company in the world cannot boast of top performance.

Oddly enough, Microsoft representatives decided to base the computer on the Intel Core i7-11700K processor, and not the flagship Intel Core i9-11900K processor. Yes, the difference in performance between the chips is not that big, but it is, and not in the direction of the i7. Considering that Microsoft Flight Simulator is quite a demanding game, this choice seems even stranger. Moreover, the graphics card in this computer is responsible for the RTX 3070 video card, and not the RTX 3080 or RTX 3090. This is even stranger, because Microsoft definitely has the opportunity to find an RTX 3090 on the market even in times of shortage.

As a result, it turns out that this computer at maximum graphics settings in 4K resolution will not be able to demonstrate 60 FPS in Microsoft Flight Simulator at maximum graphics settings. Of course, this is still the most powerful gaming computer that can be won literally for a repost on a social network, and the RTX 3070 alone currently costs $ 1200, let alone this custom case and other components. It’s just that Microsoft’s prank with non-flagship components looks a little odd.
