Microsoft has begun testing three new features in a fresh build of Canary of the Microsoft Edge browser based on the Chromium engine.

First, the main Windows 10 browser has finally gotten the built-in dictionary feature, which was previously available in the old version of Microsoft Edge, but until now was missing in the new version based on the Chromium engine.

Also, the browser has a context menu in a “mini” version, which offers a user-friendly interface, opening such important options as copy, search in the Bing sidebar and dictionary. Users can enable this feature in the Settings menu.

Thanks to the integration with the mini-menu, Microsoft Edge also received dictionary features. You can now select and highlight a word and get a definition from Bing sources.
As mentioned in the beginning, this feature was first added ?? to the legacy version of Edge in 2019 and was gone when Microsoft switched to Chromium-based Edge.

The tool for checking passwords for security has also been improved – now a visual “health bar” is shown for passwords.
