Microsoft has officially unveiled a major update for the Windows 11 operating system with new features.

The main innovation was the long-awaited support for Android applications that can be installed through the Amazon Appstore.

The innovation is now at the stage of public preview version. With it, access to Android applications is given to ordinary users, and not just participants in the Windows Insiders testing program. True, so far only in the US. Compared to the Google Play Store, there are fewer apps available, but more than a thousand apps are promised to be available.

Another big change is the updated taskbar. Time and date are made available across multiple monitors, the weather widget is also returning to the taskbar, and a new taskbar mute/unmute feature is available for Microsoft Teams calls. You can also quickly share the screen of a specific app or window directly while in a Microsoft Teams call.

In addition, Microsoft has redesigned the Media Player and Notepad apps for Windows 11. Notepad now includes multi-step undo, an improved search interface, and dark mode support. The new Media Player app is designed to replace Groove Music and Windows Media Player, and includes support for both audio and video.
You can download the new version of Windows 11 through Windows Update (Windows Update).
