Microsoft announced on Friday that it was suspending new sales of its products and services in Russia, distancing itself from Moscow after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine last week in an attack that threatens to turn the tide in Europe after the Cold War.
Since then, dozens of Western companies, including Apple, Nike and Dell Technologies, have severed ties with Russia amid Western sanctions.
Apple announced on Tuesday that it has stopped all sales of its products in Russia.
In addition to suspending new sales, Microsoft has suspended many aspects of its operations in Russia in compliance with the sanctions, according to company president Brad Smith.
