Microsoft has published instructions for users who are testing the Windows 11 operating system who have encountered a bug in the new taskbar. Recent builds 22449 and 22000.176 contain a bug that causes the Start menu and taskbar to disappear from the screen.
Due to this bug in the taskbar, the new graphical interface becomes almost useless. When an issue was identified, Microsoft turned off the distribution of the update for Insiders and Beta Testers and worked to resolve the issue.

Now, Microsoft has announced a workaround for this issue by posting a sequence of actions for users:
- Use CTRL-ALT-DEL to open the Task Manager
- Select “More Info” at the bottom of Task Manager to expand Task Manager
- Go to “File” and select “Run new task”
- Enter “cmd” in the “Open” field
- Paste in the following: reg delete HKCU SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion IrisService / f && shutdown -r -t 0
- Press Enter and your computer should restart. After reboot everything should be fine
