Office 2021 will be available for Windows and macOS by the end of 2021. Like the previous release, Office 2019, the Office 2021 suite is designed for users who prefer to pay once rather than subscribe to Microsoft 365 with recurring deductions.

Along with the version for ordinary users, a corporate version of the Office LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) is also presented for situations when devices cannot be connected to the network for a long time and receive updates. And if the developers are silent about the innovations of Office 2021, then they told more about Office LTSC.

Office LTSC will receive features such as full support for the dark theme, enhancements for users with disabilities, and features like dynamic arrays and row search in XLOOKUP tables (VIEWX) for Excel.

It is quite logical to expect similar innovations in Office 2021 for ordinary users. A commercial preview of Office LTSC is slated for release in April, with a stable release in the second half of 2021.

When Microsoft released Office 2019 in 2018, many users expressed concern that it might be the last version available without a subscription. As we can see, these fears were in vain.

Microsoft Office 365 apps are not a one-time payment, but a subscription. Microsoft has been heavily promoting Microsoft Office 365 in recent years and has made a subscription distribution model the mainstream of its Office suite.
