Microsoft introduced the walkie-talkie feature to Microsoft Teams last year. And now the company has confirmed that the walkie-talkie mode for Apple mobile devices based on the iOS operating system will be launched in June 2021.
The Microsoft document states:
This built-in Teams app turns corporate smartphones and tablets or employee iOS devices into walkie-talkies, reducing the number of gadgets employees need to carry and lowering IT costs. ”
As promised by the developers, the cloud-based Walkie Talkie feature will provide clear and secure voice communication without delays.
For Android devices, the walkie-talkie feature in Microsoft Teams has been rolling out since Fall 2020.
