Microsoft continues to work on a “grandiose” re-launch of the design and interface of Windows 10. According to “reliable” sources, Microsoft is also preparing a new interface for proprietary applications such as Microsoft Photos (Photos), Mail (Mail) and Calendar (Calendar).

That said, the first application to receive a Sun Valley-style enhancement is Microsoft Alarms & Clock.

The new Alarms & Clock app was announced in December and many users were disappointed to find that the new interface was not immediately available. Now the development is complete and the new interface is available to those who wish in version 10.2101.28.0.

Of course, Alarms & Clock may be the only app that Microsoft will update the interface for before Sun Valley launches, but we will most likely see updates to other apps from the company in the coming months.

The new user interface and design project is internally codenamed Sun Valley and will be part of the Windows 10 Cobalt or 21H2 release. For ordinary users, this version of the OS will become available in the fall of 2021, most likely in October. Test program participants will be introduced to the new design in the summer.
