Mid-term elections in the USA: TV doctor Dr. Oz – Democrats take the seat in Pennsylvania

The Senate seat for Pennsylvania goes to the Democrats and their candidate John Fetterman, who beats the TV surgeon Mehmet Oz, who was running for the seat for the Republicans.

As NBC reports, this victory could prove decisive for control of the Senate as the counting of votes in the US midterm elections is underway.

60-year-old Mehmet Oz has the support of former President Donald Trump, who still wields significant influence among the party’s voters.

John Fetterman, a giant of a carafe (at 2.05 in height) is in favor of legalizing cannabis and strengthening labor unions. The 50-year-old also stands out for his simple, everyday attire, mainly the shorts and tracksuits he wears, but above all the hoodies he almost never takes off.

A former mayor of a small town in Pennsylvania, the Democrat is recovering from a stroke and still has trouble speaking well. He had been leading the polls for some time, but in recent weeks his popularity has been waning.
