The creator of the series “The White Lotus”, Mike White he countered the comments made by the former composer of the series Cristóbal Tapia de Veer after the musician announces the departure of production alleging “Creative differences” with the director.
In an interview with Podcast The Howard Stern Show, Mike White said Cristóbal seems to be doing a marketing campaign about the exit of the program by giving various interviews on the subject besides classifying this as a “Coward movement”.
“I don’t think he respected me” said White. “He wants people to know that he is nervous. We We never really fight . He says we fight. I think I never fought with him-except perhaps for a few emails. It was basically I suggesting him. I don’t think he would like to go through the process of getting my opinions or wanting revisions, because he didn’t respect me, ”said the filmmaker.
“I knew he didn’t play in a team and wanted to do his way. I was shocked that he would go to The New York Times to shit me and on the program three days before the end. It was kind of a cowardly movement,” White added.
Emmy’s winning composer, in turn, said Mike White decided to change the musical approach of the series in season three, taking elements that Tapia de Veer believes to contribute to the plot.
“I mean, at that moment We already had our last fight forever I think. Then He was just saying no to everything “He explained in an interview with The New York Times.
One of the changes noted by viewers in the new season was the exchange of opening song.
