After a year and a half of mostly digital presentations by designers, from fashion films to video games, even in Milan the fashion shows are once again more in presence than in virtual mode: for Spring / Summer 2022 collections in fact, there will be 125 events in attendance, reaching a total of 173 appointments along with the digital ones. The actual fashion shows will instead be 42 and include some of the most anticipated of the fashion week: Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Versace, Marni, Prada and not only. The fashion show of the fashion house directed by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada then, for Spring / Summer 2022, will be an exceptional occasion. Or rather, two: although the collection is one in fact, it will be presented on two catwalks at the same time, one in Milan and the other in Shanghai. A double appointment titled, not surprisingly, Synchromic Views, designed to celebrate the sharing and resonance that unites the fashion system.
To offer a unique experience of its kind on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week also Moncler which, for its return to the official calendar, will set up a digital path discovering the inspirations of the designers of Moncler Genius, which will unite five different cities: New York, Milan, Shanghai, Tokyo and Seoul, accompanied by none other than Alicia Keys live from Milan. To return to the official programming too Boss and Roberto Cavalli, which will present on the catwalk, for the first time, a collection of the new artistic director Fausto Puglisi, after the digital debut last season. Great absent Bottega Veneta and Gucci, who for some seasons have chosen to show at a later date than the Milan calendar.
As for emerging brands, the younger brands, such as Shuting Qiu and Lagos Space Program, have mostly opted for digital presentations, while the showcase of new talents, Milano Moda Graduate, will show some of the best students for the seventh edition from Italian fashion schools. Finally, or rather, at the inauguration of the whole, we will find the collective again Black Lives Matter in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, for the event We Are Made in Italy. As always, it will be possible to watch the fashion shows and digital presentations in live streaming on the official portal of the event: here is the complete calendar.
