Mild gains around 890 points on the Stock Exchange

With small profits, but even lower transactions, the Athens Stock Exchange is moving today, which is now following the new records in the cases of Covid 19 in our country, but also the efforts of the authorities to limit the spread in the community.

In particular, the General Index records gains of 0.39% at 889.33 points, while the turnover is at 3.5 million euros and the volume at 1.5 million units. The FTSE 25 also recorded an increase of 0.40%, to 2,137.86 points, while the banking index gained 0.55% to 573.28 points.

The question for the market is whether the now large dispersion of Covid 19 could push the healthcare system to its limits, or whether it will force the government to take tough action. Besides, the record number of coronavirus cases in our country is breaking every record, with the Omicron mutation already being here and reaching 70% of the daily cases of the last days in Attica. According to the Minister of Health, Thanos Plevris, today we will exceed 15,000 cases.

On the FTSE 25, 2,175 points is the target for the long, while 2,128 points is the near support. The weekly graph shows the accumulation and concentration of forces. In banking the 569 units are close support and in any case the 543 units the main one.
