Military equipment from France and UAE in Sudan violates arms embargo, says Amnesty International

Amnesty International reports that military equipment, made in France by the KNDS-France and Lacroix groups, and installed in armored personnel carriers (APVs) produced in the United Arab Emirates is being used in the war in Sudan, in clear violation of the arms embargo it imposes the EU. “Our research shows that weapon systems designed and manufactured in France are actively used on the battlefields in Sudan,” the NGO’s general secretary, Anies Kalamar, underlines in Amnesty’s press release.
