One clandestine arms factory It was dismantled this Thursday (21) by the Military Police of Minas Gerais (PMMG), in the Jardim Vitória neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte.
The action took place after survey and steps made by agents of the 16th Military Police Battalion. The military discovered a handcrafted weapon production scheme made with Airsoft carcasses.
According to the PM, they produced weapons that resembled rifles, but which functioned as 380 caliber pistols. The criminals produced the weapons in a marblerium in a façade, so that the noise would not call attention.
During the operation, the military arrested three suspects and seized a large amount of narcotics, handcrafted firearms, two revolvers, ammunition, precision scales, tools used to assemble weapons and three vehicles used by the gang.
According to the PM, “the operation represents a hard blow against organized crime in the region, reinforcing the commitment of the Military Police to public security and social order.”
