Mill favela: 2nd day of protests affects trains circulation in SP

For the second consecutive day, the circulation of trains in São Paulo was affected by protests related to the withdrawal of residents of Favela do Moinho, in the central region of the state capital.

At this time, line 8-Diamond, operated by the concessionaire viamobility, has the operation interrupted between the Júlio Prestes and Palmeiras-Barra Funda stations. At 1:15 pm, the Paulista Metropolitan Train Company (CPTM) reported that there were no interference in the lines under its responsibility.

The Military Police reported that they act on site to “re -establish public order”. According to the corporation, about 20 protesters set fire to the entrance of the favela and on train tracks.
