Milton Nascimento announces dates for his farewell tour

Icon of MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), with 60 years of career and reaching 80 years of life, Milton Nascimento has a date set to say goodbye to the stage. “The Last Music Session” will be an international tour, with shows in Sao PauloRio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, between June 11 and November 13.

Tickets for the event go on sale next Wednesday (18) at 12 pm.

“I could never end this part of my life of so many years on the road without honoring those who have been with me all this time: the fans. And this tour was designed especially for you!”, declared the singer.

The opening show of the tour takes place in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in a special session for friends, artists and those who purchase an NFT Ticket Pass. The art of the digital asset will be the famous engraving “Serra de Três Pontas”, signed by Milton. The drawing, which brings together the sun, some mountains and a train, gave rise to the cover of the Geraes album, in 1976.

Holder of numerous hits, such as “Maria, Maria” and “Encontros e Despedidas”, the singer has recorded 43 albums, having accumulated five Grammy awards and the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in music by the University of Berklee, in Boston.

According to Milton, “Ponta de Areia”, “Meetings and Farewells”, “Travessia”, “Cio da Terra” and “Nos Bailes da Vida” will not be left out of the farewell set list.

“It would be impossible to say goodbye without putting songs from all stages of his career in the repertoire,” he said.
