The state of Minas Gerais has not registered deaths by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The last time the state did not record deaths from the disease was on October 25th. This Monday (8), 264 were confirmed from Covid-19 in Minas Gerais.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the state has registered 55,759 deaths and 2,191,858 infections by the new coronavirus. According to the Minas Gerais State Department of Health, 67% of deaths registered in the state were people with some comorbidity. In addition, 70% of deaths were in individuals aged 60 years or older.
According to the Minas Gerais State Department of Health, more than 16 million people were vaccinated in the state with the first dose, 12 million are with the complete vaccination schedule, considering the second dose or single dose (Janssen vaccine). So far, booster doses have been given to 1.1 million people.
