Russian analytical company MindSmith announced the launch of the first open encyclopedia dedicated to digital currencies of central banks, which contains a variety of materials on the topic.
To date, more than 70 studies have been collected in the Central Banks’ Digital Currency Navigator (DCS). The library is intended to assist various companies and research in finding information on the topic of government digital currencies.
MindSmith representatives emphasize that interest in the subject is constantly growing. According to the company, 74% of central banks are interested in blockchain and digital currencies – regulators are conducting research and developing pilot versions of such systems.
“Like everything young and uncertain, the introduction of the CVSM raises many controversial questions. We are on the cusp of innovation, many aspects of which have yet to be conceptualized, invented, and implemented, ”MindSmith said in a press release.
Representatives of the company urge members of the cryptocurrency community to help fill the CVCB navigator.
A recent study by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) also suggests that central banks are actively researching government-owned cryptocurrencies, and developing countries are initiating their mass release.
