Markus “Notch” Persson, the legend of the modern game dev who gave the world Minecraft, tweeted that he was working on a new video game, but, unfortunately, did not disclose the details of the future project. Moreover, the developer appealed to his fans, saying that fans do not raise expectations, as he creates a novelty exclusively for himself, and not in order to blow up the industry. And, most interestingly, Persson noted that his future project with a high degree of probability will not be at all what his subscribers think about. Based on this, we can assume that this is clearly not about Minecraft or something related to this.
I’m literally working on a video game!

Along with this, “Notch” said that while developing his own game, he was inspired by another project, and has already invited the authors of the original to use his idea. But so far, no response has been received from the authors of the original project, so he continues to develop his own video game for his own pleasure. It is also worth recalling that at the moment Markus Persson has nothing to do with Minecraft – he sold his stake in Mojang a long time ago, and the new owner, Microsoft, did not even invite the developer to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game.
