Miners stole $ 8,000 worth of video cards from a Chinese internet cafe

According to a source referring to local media, unknown persons broke into an Internet cafe in Hangzhou and took out video cards worth about 50,000 yuan, which is approximately equivalent to $ 8,000. The robbed hall was used by eSports enthusiasts who played their favorite games and watched eSports broadcasts. Interestingly, the attackers took away only the video cards, all other components in the PC remained intact.

It is reported that a total of six video cards were stolen, and the specified amount of damage is given based on the recommended price of each 3D accelerator, in reality, their cost is much higher. As noted, the thieves were well prepared: they were wearing masks and using fake IDs. Of course, it is not a fact that it was the miners who committed the crime, but there is no doubt that the further fate of the stolen video cards is the mining of cryptocurrency.
