The bassist Rinaldo AmaralMingau, from the band Ultraje a Rigor, shot in the head in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, now has his sedation reduced — Hospital São Luiz do Itaim reported this Sunday (9).
According to the note, he remains under mechanical ventilation and receives clinical support to control intracranial pressure. The clinical picture is still serious, according to the Rede D’Or hospital.
Porridge remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Last Wednesday (6), he underwent surgery to help control cranial pressure.
According to delegate Marcello Russo, head of the 167th DP, in Paraty, the case that occurred last Sunday (3) was registered as an attempted murder.
According to Russo, the bassist had his car hit by gunfire while passing through Praça do Ovo, in the Ilha das Cobras neighborhood.
The delegate said that “the place is known as a point of purchase and sale of illicit drugs dominated by the criminal faction called Red Command”.
“We are working with several investigative hypotheses. One of them was that drug traffickers had fired shots that hit Mingau”, he added.
Russo stated that an inspection of the location was requested, as well as the seizure of Mingau’s car for criminal examination.
“We are waiting for collaborators with information, intelligence work, local cameras, possible cell phone footage. Whoever can help us, we will guarantee the confidentiality of the information so that we can clarify as soon as possible the perpetrators of the shooting and the arrest of these elements”, he concluded.
