The Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, is in Cuba to participate in a sector fair. She is the first Brazilian official to return to the island after seven years of veiled isolation from the country by Presidents Michel Temer (MDB) and Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
The minister did not disclose information about the trip in the official agenda. However, she has been posting pictures on social media. A CNN found that she should remain on Cuban soil until Sunday (7).
The event brings together representatives of the so-called “G-77+ China”, which brings together developing countries to promote collective economic interests and have greater negotiation capacity with the United Nations.
“The meeting works on the tourism theme as a driver of economic, inclusive and sustainable development for the countries of the global South”, wrote the minister in a post.
In one of the photos, Daniela Carneiro appears next to the Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Juan Carlos Granda, presenting him with a “Marca Brasil” pin to be placed on his chest.
