Ministerial meeting this Friday (6) is a golden opportunity to align speeches

The noise promoted by the new government has subsided in these last two days and can be minimally contained in the first ministerial meeting with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), which will take place this Friday morning (6).

In her inauguration speech, Simone Tebet (MDB) found the word that sums up the reason for so much turbulence in a few days of government: divergence. The new Minister of Planning spoke of the difference in thinking she has with her peers on the economic team, but, in the end, she was able to identify the divergence of some of those appointed by Lula with the country’s reality as the biggest problem.

At the meeting that the president will have with the ministers this Friday, there is an urgent need for an inversion of the direction pointed so far by many of the allies who want to change the past, instead of preparing the future with the advances made so far. Correct many distortions, yes, but without creating so many more in the way.

The greatest desire of Lula’s third term is to put the poorest in the Budget, where the battle for resources is not just between the ministries.

With so many speeches preaching for more spending without agreeing with the National Congress, which today owns a good slice of the coffer, the government stagnates.

Presented by Thais Heredia, the CNN Money it presents a balance of the news subjects that influence markets, finances and the direction of society and the dynamics of power in Brazil and in the world.
