Ministry of Economy announces new holder of the Ministry of Management of the portfolio

The Ministry of Economy announced, this Thursday (3), the Union lawyer Caio Castelliano de Vasconcelos as the new holder of the Management Secretariat of the Special Secretariat for Debureaucratization, Management and Digital Government.

The new secretary takes office after the departure of Cristiano Heckert, elected director-president of the Complementary Pension Fund for the Federal Public Servant of the Executive Branch (Funpresp-Exe).

Caio Castelliano de Vasconcelos has already held another position in the government, that of special advisor to the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, in 2018.

At the time, he coordinated the creation of a new structuring tool in the federal government, the Integrated System of Appointments and Consultations (Sinc), according to the federal government.

The appointment of the new secretary follows a recent wave of departures from the Ministry of Economy, between the end of 2021 and the beginning of this year.

In October last year, four secretaries resigned from the portfolio, all claiming that the decision was made for personal reasons.

In January of this year, four technicians at the Ministry of Economy announced that they were also leaving their positions. The last of them was Luiz Guilherme Pinto Henriques, former Undersecretary for Tax Affairs at the Federal Budget Secretariat of the Special Secretariat for the Treasury and Budget.
