Ministry of Economy to launch data platform on investments in Brazil

Economy Minister Paulo Guedes returns to work this Monday (9) after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

His first engagement will be at the launch event of the investment monitor, a data platform made in partnership with the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank).

The monitor will disseminate information on investments and sustainability in the main sectors of the economy. The ministry will provide data that includes historical series and a summary of the government’s investment project portfolio.

The database will allow centralized access to ongoing projects, in addition to investment trends in the country.

The objective is for the information on the platform to bring greater transparency to government actions to facilitate dialogue with civil society, companies, academies and multilateral bodies active in the various branches of the economy.

The launch event will be this Monday at 9:30 am. In addition to Guedes, the special secretary for productivity and competitiveness, Daniela Marques, the IDB representative in Brazil, Morgan Doyle and the British ambassador, Melanie Hopkins, should participate in the launch.
