Created in 2008 by businessman Joesley Batista, the J&F Institute received authorization from the Ministry of Education to offer university courses.
The ordinance authorizing the operation of the institution was published on Thursday (11), in the Official Gazette of the Union. The request had been awaiting release since 2021.
The higher education center will be named Faculdade J&F. And the first undergraduate course will be Commercial Management. In total, 150 places will be offered, in distance learning.
Initially, the college's target audience will be former students of the J&F group's business school. But the goal is to open vacancies for the general population.
According to the Institute, at least eight other courses should be created in the future: industrial production, retail, finance, management processes, information technology, systems analysis and development, marketing and corporate education.
