Ministry of Health and Anvisa investigate error in vaccination of children in Paraíba

The Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, told the CNN, this Saturday (16), which follows the case of about 40 children in Paraíba who mistakenly received overdue and adult vaccines. “Therefore, it is important to be careful in the application of doses. The Ministry of Health monitors all adverse events related to vaccines against Covid-19″, he said.

The National Health Surveillance Agency also commented on the incident. Anvisa informed the CNN that “the investigation of the circumstances of the vaccination is in progress. Only after that, the Agency will be able to evaluate actions”.

Earlier, the Health Department of Paraíba reported that vaccinated children had mild reactions, such as fever and pain at the injection site. The case is being investigated by the Federal Public Ministry of Paraíba.
