Ministry of Health may sign an addendum for childhood vaccinations this year

THE Ministry of Health is finalizing the additive in the contract with Pfizer for the purchase of vaccine for children. THE CNN found that since last week, Pfizer has been in talks with the Ministry of Health to sign the amendment to the contract for the purchase of vaccines for children aged 5 to 11 years.

The conversations between the parties, so that Brazil receives as soon as possible the pediatric doses of the immunizing agent, have become more frequent since last Thursday (23).

The contract with the pharmaceutical provides for up to 20 million adult and pediatric doses to be delivered in the first half of 2022.

Sources heard by CNN said that the Ministry of Health finalizes bureaucratic issues of information conference for the closing of the amendment. Also according to the sources, only after signing this additive the pharmacist must pass on a more specific schedule for the delivery of immunizations for children.
