The Federal District Civil Police ended, on Tuesday (8), investigations into the disappearance of the Ministry of Health’s server, Joselito Costa Malta, 59.
The man has been missing since March 11, when his car was found burned. Investigations resulted in the location of the victim’s body and the arrest of the perpetrator.
According to the Civil Police, the victim was murdered by Elson Teodoro dos Santos, known as Chacal. He provided electrician and bricklayer services to Joselito and the duo had known each other for at least 12 years. The suspect was arrested last Friday (4).
Joselito’s disappearance was registered by the niece, at the request of the victim’s daughter, who lives in another state and kept contact with his father daily. She stopped contacting her father on the 11th.
However, the daughter stated that in a messaging application the contact was still online, which caught the eye. The colleagues of the Ministry of Health also noticed the absence of Joselito who, despite working remotely, did not access the system since the date of the crime.
The investigation indicated that Elson had been interested in buying a victim’s car five years ago. On March 11, on the day of the disappearance, the suspect went to the house of Joselito, in the region of Vale do Dawn, in Planaltina, to do an electrician service, already with plans to steal the vehicle.
According to police, upon arriving at the public servant’s house, the criminal realized that the car had been sold. According to the investigation, Chacal killed Joselito due to the sale, with sledgehammer blows, got rid of the body in a thicket and then went home.
The PCDF states that the perpetrator cleared the house in an attempt to erase possible evidence. He then cooked, drank beer and left with another victim’s car, a Ford Ka. The Civil Police learned that the criminal had help from their 17 -year -old son and have been with the car until the 17th of the month. Witnesses reported having seen father and son using Ford Ka.
The delegate responsible for the case, Veluziano de Castro, explained that the victim offered the yellow golf to the killer, but he had no money and even offered services in exchange for the vehicle, but Joselito did not accept.
