The Ministry of Health withdrew from charging a medical prescription for the vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years against the coronavirus, according to direct assistants of the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, heard by the CNN.
The requirement for a medical prescription was not supported by the public consultation carried out by the government and also by entities linked to health.
The announcement of the schedule and procedures for vaccination of children will be made in the late afternoon of this Wednesday (5).
According to sources in the folder, after holding a hearing on vaccination this Tuesday, the minister met with technical teams to decide the final version of the campaign to vaccinate children against the coronavirus.
The government accepted the assessment of the National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (Conasems) that the health posts would not have operational conditions to carry out the collection of medical prescriptions.
