The Ministry of Justice and Public Security announced, this Sunday (19), the opening of a exclusive channel of complaints to investigate irregularities at the Taylor Swift concert, held on Friday night (17), at the Nilton Santos Stadium, Engenhão, in Rio de Janeiro. One fan died and 1,000 more people fainted during the event.
Fans were exposed to extreme heat and reported water bans at the show. On the day of the 1st Eras Tor show in Brazil, Rio registered a thermal sensation of 59.3°C, breaking a record – surpassed the following day.
On Saturday (18), Minister Flávio Dino guided the National Consumer Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Wadih damous to adopt appropriate measures regarding reports of sealing or lack of water availability for consumers who went or will go to shows during the heat wave in the country.
Dino also determined that bottled water should be allowed at shows and the drink would be made available free of charge in cases of high heat exposure.
The federal government also established a 24-hour deadline – which ends at 12:34 pm today – for T4F to provide information to the National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) about the death of Ana Clara Benevides, aged 23.
Singer Taylor Swift announced on Saturday afternoon the postponement of the show, which would take place in a few hours, until Monday (20), due to the high temperature in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
In total, the singer will perform six shows in Brazil, three in Rio de Janeiro, this weekend, and three in São Paulo, on the 24th, 25th and 26th of November.
