Ministry of Labor: A total of 18 companies receive the SHARE Equality Mark for the first time

The SHARE Equality Label, which reflects the practical promotion of practices and initiatives within companies aimed at gender equality, is awarded for the first time in Greece, to 18 companies, as stated in a relevant announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

The award is the result of a two-year effort in the framework of the Project “SHARE: Promoting the balance of work and family life in companies and a better distribution of care responsibilities between men and women”, which included, among other things, the development of Evaluation Methodology , the development of educational material, the training and support of the companies that participated and their final evaluation.

In particular, the eighteen (18) companies, which successfully met the evaluation criteria, according to the recommendation of the independent Evaluation Committee and which are awarded the Equality Mark are the following (listed in alphabetical order):

The SHARE Gender Equality Mark is valid until January 31, 2024 and can be used in any publicity action deemed appropriate by companies.

The Business Equality Award will be presented by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, in charge of Demographic Policy, Family and Gender Equality, Maria Syregela, at the Project Conference which is scheduled to take place in March 2022. There, they will be presented the main actions and actions in the context of the implementation of the Project, as well as good practices from companies that received the Equality Mark.

It is noted that the SHARE project is implemented by the General Secretariat for Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality (Coordinating Body) in collaboration with the Research Center for Equality Issues (KETHI) and the Organization for the Professional Empowerment of Women On Top, with the co-sponsor of the European Union Program on Rights, Equality and Citizenship.
