The sum of aid and compensation paid to farmers in recent days by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food amounts to 1.173 billion euros.
Specifically until today this week were paid:
-From OPEKEPE: 851.6 million euros for the repayment of the single aid.
-From ELGA: 71 million euros for compensation for the “Spring Frost ’21”
-From the RDP: 250 million euros for the compensatory 2021.
According to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, today, Friday, December 24, 2021, after coordinated actions by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Spilios Libanos, and the Deputy Minister, Mr. George Stylios, the OPECEPE credited the compensatory allowance for the year 2021.
In total, about 250 million euros are paid.
With this amount, as pointed out by the Secretary General of Union Resources and Infrastructure, Mr. Dim. Papagiannidis, the annual absorption of PAA 2014 reaches a record level of 707 million euros and by the end of the year is expected to exceed 730 million euros.
The Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Spilios Libanos, thanked for the excellent cooperation with the Ministry of Development and Investments the competent Secretary General Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, as well as the executives of OPEKEPE, EYD PAA and EV EFARMOGIS PAA.
