The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) became the first Russian university to issue a commemorative coin with the heraldry of the university in NFT format for the celebration of its anniversary.
The commemorative NFTs were created on Ethereum by the ChainLab Blockchain Technology Laboratory of the Idea Research Center and the Master’s Program in Blockchain at MIPT. The presentation took place at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology at the World Trade Center.
“It was important for us that Phystech become one of the first universities to introduce NFT technologies into their activities as one of the modern technological solutions. Now each graduate will have his own MIPT gold NFT coin as a keepsake, which will remind you of the years of study at the university,” said Tagir Aushev, Scientific Director of the Idea Center, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Tagir Aushev.
Previously master’s program of the Phystech-School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (FPMI) on blockchain became the first Russian state educational program that issued non-fungible tokens for master’s degrees.
