The Government will launch a new Public Job Offer next June, as the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Function, Miquel Iceta, declared in Congress this Thursday in his appearance on the Commission.

“In June the Public Offer of Employment for this year will be published, because we do not want to weaken the public service or limit its capabilities,” said the minister, who has placed the temporary nature and aging of the body of public employees as two of the main challenges of your department.

Iceta, who has gone to the Lower House to explain the general lines of the policy of his department, has also advanced that it will regulate the expansion of the current public employment stabilization processes, and has defended that in them it should Promote the stabilization of temporary personnel who permanently perform structural functions.

In the General State Budgets for 2021, a public employment offer was calculated with 28,055 places, a figure lower than the 33,000 places offered last year (the highest in the last ten years), although 5,000 were included there. stabilization seats.

The OPE for this year 2020 includes 18,323 places for the General State Administration (AGE), with 8,996 positions for internal promotion, the largest in history, and 9,227 positions for new entrants.

Likewise, the rest of the positions correspond to 5,540 personnel of the State security forces and bodies, 1,857 to the armed forces, 1,452 to the Administration of Justice, 549 to local administration officials of national qualification, 256 to public entities, 47 to teachers, 26 to personnel of the health management institute and 5 to the General Council of the Judiciary.

By sectors, 11% of the places are destined to the integral reform and modernization of Justice, 10.8% to modernization of the tax system, 10.2% to digital transformation, 8.7% to strengthening the prison system, 7% to social cohesion, 5.1% to R & D & i , 4.6% to sanitation and health surveillance and resilient infrastructures and ecosystems, 2.3% to ecological transition and 1.2% to international and commercial relations.
