By the end of April, Russian banks will be able to start connecting the cards of the Russian payment system Mir to the Apple Pay contactless payment service. The head of the Association of Electronic Money and Money Transfer Market Participants Viktor Dostov told reporters about it.
At the moment, Mir cards are supported by the Mir Pay and Samsung Pay payment systems. Both systems work with smartphones based on the Android operating system. With the launch of Apple Pay support, Mir cards can be used for contactless payments using the iPhone.
