Missing pilot is found alive after 5 days on Earth Yanomami

The 28 -year -old airplane pilot, who had been missing five days ago, was found alive by prospectors in the Yanomami Indigenous Land region of Roraima on Saturday afternoon (5). Alves was piloting a Cessna 182 Skylane single-engine plane on a solo flight when the aircraft disappeared last Monday (31).

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) located the wreckage of the plane in the forest during the week and even searched SC-105 Amazonas and H-60L Black Hawk aircraft, equipped for missions in hard-to-reach areas.

However, without finding the pilot nearby, air searches were temporarily suspended last Friday (04).

On Saturday (5), the news of the pilot’s meeting gained strength with the circulation of a video on social networks, where a man identified as a prospector states: “The boy is fine, is alive.” In the images, Igor Alves appears responding with a nod and the phrase: “Hey, thanks, guys.” See Baixo:
