NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter, which was on Mars with the Perseverance rover, took its first photo on the red planet. This is reported on the NASA Science Mars Exploration Program website.
As noted, the picture was taken on April 3, when the helicopter was under the rover and was preparing to descend to the surface. This low-resolution color photo shows the bottom of the Martian crater Yesero. Perseverance wheels and shadow are also visible.
