The relevant committee of the Missouri House of Representatives approved a bill to protect the mining of digital assets. Earlier, a similar bill was approved by the Mississippi State Senate.

Under the provisions of the Missouri Digital Asset Mining Protection Bill, state and political entities should be prohibited from preventing home digital asset mining nodes from running. The bill limits the prohibitions that the state can take against mining companies.

According to the initiators of the bill, legal support for mining in Missouri will protect the cryptocurrency mining business by ensuring that the state will only impose requirements on regulated data processing centers, not allowing state regulators to unilaterally change mining zoning requirements, without “proper notice to all interested parties.” .

Since the beginning of the year, legislators in three US states, Missouri, Mississippi and Montana, in one form or another, have approved bills that support the cryptocurrency industry and legalize the mining of crypto assets at home, while simultaneously allowing mining companies to operate in areas approved for industrial use.
