Between late May and early June, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo will host the 2023 edition of MITA Festival.
The event this year features international attractions such as Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine. In the national section, the highlight is names like Jorge Ben Jor, Planet Hemp and the return of NX Zero.
As usual in the organization of these music festivals, the presentations of renowned artists usually depend on a list of requirements for the dressing rooms.
Compared to the last Rock in Rio, for example, when singer Justin Bieber even demanded an ice bath in his dressing room, the MITA 2023 line-up is relatively quiet for backstage production.
A singer Florence Welch and her team demanded that the dressing room be produced in the most sustainable way possible: glass bottles, porcelain plates and bowls, among other alternatives to plastic.
The request for a French coffee machine with ground coffee from the Lavazza brand stands out. On the dinner menu, vegetarian tomato and pumpkin soups, as well as tuna salad, Thai food, ramen and sushi.
The MITA organization highlighted that the cariocas of the planet hemp they asked for a very simple dressing room, with “lots of mineral water and munchies”.
Orders include chocolates, fruit salad, bread and cold meats, as well as pepperoni and mozzarella pizzas.

The pizzas will also be present in the dressing room of singer Lana Del Rey , which is vegetarian, so the filling will only be cheese. Pasta with tomato sauce and brown rice with tofu complete the menu.
“Your team requested a dressing room filled with fruits, teas and juices. He even ordered a juicer with fresh ingredients like carrots, cucumbers, ginger, beets, lemons, limes, apples, celery, pineapples and oranges. For your arrival, a cappuccino and a matcha latte”, informed the organization.
the canadian quartet BadBadNotGood accompanied Florence on sustainable requests: no single-use plastic should be purchased. All materials must be recyclable or compostable.
For food, lots of fruits, as well as products and utensils to make guacamole. They also demanded gummy bears, non-alcoholic beer and natural orange wines.
