Awaiting the Prime Minister’s new intervention on the energy crisis front, ahead of tomorrow’s Council of Energy Ministers.
According to government officials, further to the proposals he submitted in the past, with the aim of taking initiatives at the European level to deal with the energy crisis and its consequences for households and businesses in Europe, another intervention by Mr. Mitsotakis is expected.
The central idea of the prime minister’s proposal is the creation of a pan-European mechanism to reduce natural gas consumption in industry against compensation. The aim is to enable Europe to face the losses that will occur in the event of a natural gas cut from Russia.
“Along with the national plan to support households and businesses in the face of energy price increases and the preparation to ensure the adequacy of the natural gas supply chain, Greece is still working towards a common European solution”, the same executives emphasize.
