Japanese automaker Mitsubishi unveiled a new generation of Outlander crossover this week. The car was the first Mitsubishi model to support wireless CarPlay connectivity.
Wireless CarPlay connectivity is possible via Bluetooth and Wi-F, allowing you to connect your iPhone to your car’s multimedia system without a Lightning cable.
The new Outlander features a 9-inch touchscreen and supports both CarPlay and Android Auto. Smartphones can be recharged via USB Type-A and USB Type-C.
Wireless CarPlay has slowly started to become mainstream. Since the end of the year, wireless connectivity has been supported on Hyundai, Honda, Ford, GM, Chrysler, BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles in several regions.
