The distribution of the proprietary MIUI 13 shell is still far from complete, and Xiaomi is already in full swing developing the next big update – MIUI 13.5.

The new features that are being tested by MIUI developers and should be included in the MIUI 13.5 release were discussed by the Xiaomiui thematic channel.

In MIUI 13.5, the interface will become much more convenient for using with one hand. For example, in the shell, the arrangement of system windows has been changed. They will appear in the middle of the screen, allowing you to control your smartphone without touching the top of the screen.

Xiaomi also changed the screen refresh rate menu. Xiaomiui notes: “This updated menu looks much better than the previous one.”

Another new feature is the appearance of apps in floating window mode in the recent apps menu, which will fix a number of display issues.

The camera interface has also been redesigned – small, but promising greater convenience when shooting. For example, the mode font is now smaller and looks nicer, the zoom buttons have been redesigned and the zoom interface has been updated, the Shutter Countdown button has been renamed – in the new interface it is called “Timer (2 seconds)”.
