Xiaomi just unveiled MIUI 13 firmware last week, announcing that the first batch of devices will start receiving the stable update in January 2022. From the very first days of the month, the company moved from words to deeds: first MIUI 13 came out on Xiaomi 12, and now it was the turn of flagship tablets.
The first Xiaomi tablets to receive the update are the Chinese variants of the Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G. Interestingly, the firmware for tablets is 659 MB, while for smartphones it is 4.2 GB.

Improvements included in MIUI 13 include increased security with electronic fraud protection, new privacy controls, updated widgets, wallpapers and a new Mi Sans font.
The list of devices that will be the first to receive the global version of MIUI 13 was previously published. The best version of the flagship tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, went on sale in China last week.
