Xiaomi has announced a new feature in the MIUI shell for Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones. It concerns the customization of the interface, or rather the icon that displays the battery level in the status bar.
The feature is called Battery Icon Emoji and it allows you to change the look, shape and size of the battery icon from MIUI templates. Users have the opportunity to put any available emoji – even the cardiogram icon. Thus, Xiaomi gives much more freedom in terms of interface customization than other smartphone manufacturers. For example, Apple only recently added a percentage of charge to the battery icon, and a dynamic indicator should appear closer to the release of iOS 16.1.
It seems that Xiaomi has always been a supporter of giving users more freedom in terms of customizing the system interface. MIUI has a separate application for these purposes, you can set themes, change the shape and style of icons. Recently, the Dynamic Island interface element, which Apple introduced in its new iPhones, has been rumored. Many believe that Xiaomi will definitely implement a similar solution on Android devices.
