The Ministry of Mines and Energy informed, this Monday (30), that it formalized to the Ministry of Economy, the request for inclusion of Petrobras in the portfolio of the Investment Partnership Program (PPI).
The qualification of Petrobras in the PPI aims to start studies to propose the necessary actions for the privatization of the company, which will be produced by an interministerial committee to be established between the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Ministry of Economy.
According to the ministry’s official note, “the proposal is timely given the current energy situation, given the global geopolitical situation, discussions on the pace of the energy transition and the global realignment of investments.”
The note also mentions that the process is fundamental for attracting investments to the country and for “the creation of a plural, dynamic and competitive market”.
