The trailer for “Moana 2” broke the record for the most viewed trailer for a Disney animation in history. The information was confirmed by the studio, one day after the release of the film's first official trailer.
Through social media, Disney thanked: “Thank you to fans around the world for coming with us on this new journey, making the 'Moana 2' trailer the most viewed Disney animated trailer of all time! November 27th can’t come soon enough…”
According to Deadline, there were 178 million views in 24 hours, enough to beat the number achieved by previous record holders such as “Inside Out 2” (157 million), “Frozen 2” (116 million) and “The Incríveis” (113 million ).
In Brazil, the film hits Brazilian cinemas on November 28, seven years after the first film. In the new story, Moana will be joined by Maui and a new crew of unlikely sailors to travel to the distant seas of Oceania, in a dangerous challenge, after receiving a “phone call” from her ancestors.
