The social network TikTok continues to be the most profitable mobile app. This applies to the total result of the Apple App Store and Google Play for the third quarter of this year.
At the same time, the TikTok app was also in the lead in the App Store, but in Google Play it still took only fourth place, behind Google One, Piccoma (a Japanese manga subscription service) and Disney +. Recently, the total number of TikTok installations exceeded 3 billion. Previously, such values were obeyed only by Google and Facebook applications.
Also, the SensorTower report shows that people have continued to spend more on mobile games. In the third quarter, we are talking about $ 22.4 billion, which is 7.7% more than a year earlier. Interestingly, unlike the total revenue on mobile devices, the Google store is the leader here, not Apple. Google Play earned $ 13.1 billion from games versus $ 9.3 billion from the App Store. But at the same time, the growth was higher in the latter: 10.7% versus 5.6%.
As in previous quarters, PUBG Mobile remains the most profitable game, but it did not rank first in either the Apple store or the Google store. In the first case, the leadership is for Honor of Kings, in the second – for the Genshin Impact. Also, these games took the second and third places, respectively, in the overall standings.
