Sources at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said they saw a large Turkish military procession, including nearly 41 tanks, personnel carriers and rocket launchers, passing through Syria this morning in two batches. The new convoy headed to the Turkish base at the Al-Tala’e camp in Al-Mastoumah, south of Idlib, to later disperse to positions in the “de-escalation zone” in northern and eastern Aleppo.
On the other hand, Turkish forces continue to evacuate and dismantle the observatories located in the “de-escalation zone”. In recent days, Turkish forces have been moving the contents of several locations in the city of Ikhsim and on the outskirts of the M4 motorway to locations on the eastern front of the “de-escalation zone”.
On April 2, Turkish forces continued to strengthen their positions in the “Putin-Erdogan” area (the agreed de-escalation zone) by bringing dozens of military vehicles and military and logistics supplies to the area. In this context, SOHR sources documented the entry of a Turkish military procession consisting of 40 armored vehicles and eight trucks loaded with logistics and military supplies to Syria, through the Bab Al-Hawa border crossing, north of Idlib.
According to reliable SOHR sources, another batch of Turkish aid was to pass through Turkish territory in Syria, where almost 50 vehicles were expected to enter within the next few hours.
SOHR sources confirmed that the Bab Al-Hawa crossing has been designated for the entry of humanitarian and trade processions and that it is not uncommon for Turkish military processions to pass through the Kafr Lucien crossing in northern Idlib and the Ain Al-Bay crossing. west of Idlib.
SOHR sources said that Turkish aid would probably arrive in a few hours at the Al-Mastoumah camp and the Taftanaz military air base, where Turkish forces are stationed, before deploying them to frontline positions in the eastern outskirts of Idlib.
